They’ve written books about Presidential lies. There are countless articles written about the worst Presidential and other world-leader lies and the damage they did to their countries, other countries, the world as a whole, and how close some of them came to destroying the entire planet.

But the guy who spends his time marvelling and considering the possibility of something existing for which there is no evidence of it’s existence can’t even begin to imagine a reason why it would possibly happen.

I like this discussion though. Establishing the criteria for how you make decisions before being faced with a decision is always a good practice. Like you should know the maximum price you will pay for a car before going to buy a car to keep emotions out of it. Same thing here.

Sorry, can't see the POTUS lying about NHI on purpose. If the world needs to be distracted with a fake alien story and feel the general public is ready for that, I'd love to know what nefarious reason is behind that curtain.

That would also be one hell of a lie to perpetuate throughout the intelligence agencies to all work together to make that one happen. If only some of you know how much stovepiping and competition goes on between those intelligence agencies. No lie that big could be kept in tact let alone planned successfully and unanimously.

It surely would be a sad state of affairs if 'aliens' is the distraction story and not the story itself. But I'm sure that would make some people happy.

Doug Burgum, the Governor of North Dakota has thrown his hat into the ring for the GOP nomination. He's a real long shot to win the nomination and then the general election but he hypothetically could become the President.

I know him well enough to have talked to him on a few occasions. If he told me there were aliens, I'd more than likely believe him.

It’s funny to read but it isn’t what I would call confidence inspiring.

Having someone admit they would believe something to be fact despite zero evidence of it being fact, solely because a President said so, so long as the information was unbelievable enough is… I don’t know. It’s not insane, but it’s something like it.

It pretty much perfectly illuminates the “logic” behind the people that believed a lot of the COVID and election stealing lies in the US. It’s fascinating seeing it applied by someone who probably looks down on people who believed those things, too.
