I don't know if Stetcher wants to be in Calgary. Too many disgusting dog owners who don't pickup their dog's poop. This one is on the citizens of Calgary.

Tsn just listed Toffoli, Backlund and Hanifin as trade picks for CGY on insider trading.
Makes sense IMO.

They Brought up RoR as well, not Flame related but I would be curious if he'd could be a cheaper option to say replace Backlund on a 2 year deal? Can he at least play #3C still? I think so.

Quite the imagination Spector has. Trade a 24 yr old former 1st rounder who is approaching bust territory and has a bad contract, a decent 3rd line center and a 2nd round pick.
For that impressive package they get a PPG 30 goal man on a good contract, a depth NHL dman who has played over 200 games and a 3rd round pick.
Seeler and Yamamoto have about the same value so basically he thinks Konecny is worth every so slightly more than Ryan McLeod.
|
And if they actually have any interest in McLeod, they can offer-sheet him. If they offered $1.5M, the Oilers would have a VERY hard time matching.
Orrrrrrr, they could give up Konecny for him!

With lindholm not being on any trade lists, and toffoli being a natural sell-high candidate, I see one glaring hole on the offense.
I love the middle 6 of : mangiapane - Kadri- dube and Pelletier- Backlund- Coleman
Huberdaeu - lindholm - ???

I'm probably making every sick by repeating this, but why isn't it automatic that prospects of this level are getting bottom 6 time. The Flames organization seems to be getting worse and worse at giving prospects playing time, despite the NHL getting more and more friendly towards very young players with energy and speed.
If you look through the Flames draft history, guys like Lombardi, Kobasew, Baertschi, Bouma, Prust, Boyd, Pardy and more recently Dube and Magiapane were all getting fairly significant bottom 6 roles within about 3-4 years of being drafted. Now the process just drags, and I do not get it as the opposite should be happening.

Given that Coronato did not lose any luster at the world's and played fairly well, I think he has every opportunity to play top RW.

Kind of throwing the kid into the fire, there.
How about toffoli and hanafin retained for a real play driver?
Fourth line of old guy - jones- coronato, so they will not be overwhelmed but could surprise some unsuspecting teams.

That would cost them a third round pick though, better to get the second round pick for Konecny, plus you get Yamamoto. Steal of a deal.
Third for McLeod because that is what you would have to give up for him on an offer sheet
Konecny and a serviceable 6/7 NHL dman for Yamamoto and a 2nd.
