Sainz with a three grid penalty for impeding Gasly at the last chicane. He’s lucky to only get three, that was bloody dangerous.

Silly that they've never implemented simple rules to avoid the last turn parking lots. Just have maximum sector times for cold-laps, where if you exceed them your hot lap is invalidated.
Perhaps the tire blanket ban will actually help, as drivers will have to hustle a bit more to get the heat up.

I watched the Villeneuve Pironi last night. Definitely recommend it for anyone with a casual interest in the sport. I'm always interested in events from that era as it's during my lifetime but before I would have been able to follow or pay attention to those events. The line from the English woman who worked for Ferrari at the end sums it up.

Max doesn't really care about records AFAIK, he basically has been quoted saying he'll keep doing this as long as he's having fun and doesn't see himself staying in the sport just to chase records.

The fact that Verstappen only won by like 10 seconds and that Perez wasn't able to get by Sainz or Leclerc might con me into thinking other teams might be catching up to Red Bull. No-one can touch Max, but Perez seems gettable for the next three teams.
