This team isn’t just bad. They are unlikeable, expensive, and poorly constructed as well as bad. They are a reverse iceberg. They have no talent below what’s in the big leagues.

They’ve covered up their inability to develop pitchers by dropping $20m+ contracts every off season. Combined with their inability to develop the young talent that they have, they have raided the farm to plug in some holes while leaving glaring holes open within the bullpen and on the bench.

Remember when Atkins took a shot at AA for “trading all the prospects “ during our actual real playoff runs where we won games and series ?

We’ll Atkins hasn’t developed anyone , spent way more of FA and hasn’t won a playoff game

Honestly, I don’t see a path for the current construction of the team to get ahead of the O’s who have waves of talent coming up, a low budget, and tons of assets to move to bring in big names at the deadline and in the post season.

Jays management had to be betting that the O’s were still 2 years out from being really competitive and that Jays could take advantage of that window. Well, they lost that bet badly.

How the #### do you go from an 0-2 count to the number 9 hitter and let him go yard off you. Putting Cimber in was Schneiders way of conceding the game. Jays outscored 10-1 since the 3 inning.
