That may be possible but I'm not sure about that especially when it comes to MacLean who likes to push his own agendas.
Yea not sure Sportsnet is telling Maclean to wax poetic about Anne of Green Gables, the Foo Fighters, Little Bo Peep or any of the other hundred colossally stupid completely off topic nostalgia BS pieces Maclean decides to ramble on about to everyone on Earth’s bewilderment.
Like, wtf? It’s so weird. I recall last week as he went on one of these strange diatribes Bieksa’s face was quite priceless. Took all his power to not tear into Ron right then and there. The folksy crap is max cringe

VGK’s window is open for maybe a couple more years.
Vegas is pretty much San Jose back in their contending window if the Sharks weren't such playoff chokers. They're going to soon have a lot of boat anchor contracts and no prospect depth.

Vegas isn't shy about moving away from those contracts though - Patches, MAF, etc.
Not that it matters anymore, but for anyone wondering why Tkachuk seemed so pissed at Pietrangelo after Game 4 ended...
(it's actually kinda funny when you realize AP wasn't even the one that crosschecked him after the whistle, he just jot up, spun around and saw Bennett pushing AP and thought that's who hit him lol)

Also it sucks that Tkachuk was hurt...but it's not lost on me that he was hurt on a very similar hit to what he put on Eichel. Great player but puts a target on his own back sometimes.

I effing hate that Vegas won a cup already soooo much but....aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh is it nice not to have to watch the tkachuk lovers bask in him winning a cup less than a year after basically forcing his way off our team.
Loved the guy when he was here but now he can go eff himself.

Careful, we aren't supposed to make fun of him losing. It's "so lame".
I don't understand the connection you're trying to make. I'm saying the reason Tkachuck seemed mad at AP after the game was becuase he thought AP had crosschecked him after the whistle a few minutes earlier. I posted yesterday about how something must've happened ealier that made Tkachuk as mad as he was at AP when the game was over.
How does that relate to a crosscheck in a game against Boston two months earlier? Nobody was wondering why Hatthaway was pissed at Tkachuk there. It was pretty obvious to everyone.

Being happy that Tkachuk lost, while, as a sentiment, shows signs of personalization (or at the very least a non-acceptance that sometimes adults make adult decisions for their own betterment), isn't "not allowed" or "lame." People are obviously allowed to feel and react however they want to. It was just your specific post of an AI-doctored image of Tkachuck crying that was called lame (by someone other than me - I only happened to notice it).

It's no different than being happy the Oilers lost and making fun of Golden Boy and Pissy. But that's ok because it's the Oilers.

I was just saying it's a bit of karma for him.
He gets mad when people do it to him, yet he runs around and does the same thing but worse most of the time.

Fair point, but again I don't think it was the making fun part that was called lame, so much as the how it was done part. Again though, I'm just interpreting someone else's post. I could be way off base.
Woof, four guys with broken bones Also Gudas playing with high ankle sprain.
This is (another reason) why the argument that Oiler fans make about "we did better against Vegas than Florida did" and "we lost to the Cup champs two years in a row" is such meaningless drivel.
Every round is a completely new entity. And by the 4th round, teams are really beat up, and sometimes run out of gas. FLA had nothing left for this series - nothing. Not their fault, not a criticism, just what it is. So to try and infer that your team did better against Vegas (and is somehow better, as a result), is as pointless as it is embarrassing.

Yeah eerily similar. Although I'd say Tkachuk was paying attention even less than Eichel and was trying to dipsy doodle. Eichel looked like he had a split second to prepare for the hit. But both totally clean.
Would the Oilers stars play the type of game that results in having broken bones and torn muscles but actually gets you through to the finals? Maybe they should be a bit more willing if they want to get that far

Florida was also incredibly lucky, winning a lot of really close games. Their strategy of having Bobrovsky play out of his mind and then get very timely goals, just when they needed them was bound to run aground eventually.
Vegas was able to find the weak point on Bobrovsky (apparently just shoot high), and Vegas was just the better, overall, team.

The Oilers' stars have always relied on goons to do their dirty work for them. It's why guys like Eichel and Stone win cups and McDavid and Draisaitl haven't.
