Yeah, almost like it was designed as a diversion from the real story happening. If this is true, produce the recordings. PERIOD. If you can’t then it’s all bull####, like pretty much every story about Hunter Biden has been. If there is something there, produce the evidence. So far absolutely nothing that could convince a rational human being let alone a grand jury has been produced. This remains nothing but noise. I would love to see Biden forced out of the race, but there just isn’t anything there.

I wonder how long before we start seeing AI produced recordings trotted out in scenarios like this.

Probably longer than you think. The AIs have a lot of our web data, but not really physical data like a voice. Those deep fake images and voices require a huge bank of data of the real person to get even remotely close. Having them done for actors with thousands of hours of footage is still pretty rough. Getting that much image data for a normal person (despite some pictures on Facebook and instagram etc..) will be tough.
I just watched a YouTube channel which had Trump's voice AI created to read out the quotes from the indictment and I was surprised at how far off it was. And his voice has to be one of the most publicly available and distinctive voices in the world.

Dude, if Biden is guilty of an impeachable offense not one of us would object to ousting him. I'm certainly not going to flap around like a moron with a Biden hat and screech about whitch hunts and such. Won't grab one of my AR-15s to shoot stuff, nor will I storm the capital in the most embarrassing temper tantrum ever televised. I'd be like, 'we've had enough of your malarkey, Biden, hit the road, Jack.'
You see the consistency there? So, let's see the evidence and if it's true I'm right there with you that he should be booted as president.

It’s so painful and frustrating that any of this has to be explained.

Apologies if this has been covered already; I read yesterday that even if Trump is convicted, he could still run for President again? Is that garbage reporting, or is there truth to that?

In the land of felony disenfranchisement.
Donald Trump can run for President from prison, but convicts can't vote. The American Paradox.

Would Trump have access to his cell phone / Internet while in prison? If not then that would be a heck of a barrier to him promoting and staying in people’s minds

I find it really hard to believe Trump would be put in prison if convicted.

Can a President pardon themselves? We could find out. The answer was No in relation to prepardoning a potential future crime (lol) but I think this is probably a technical yes.
IMO it would mean the end of presidential pardon power though.

think it's all a moot point, I doubt he'll ever see the inside of a cell. Even when you ignore the fact that he's a former president, all the appeals will probably take years anyway.

I don't think that moots it- he'll never be in prison, no doubt, but he's exceptionally vain. I could see him rationalizing pardoning himself in spite of no actual jeopardy being present outside of the hit to his ego an ongoing court case would take.
