I keep hearing about how we want to have a "creative offence." I just don't see a whole lot of creativity in our lineup though. Too many people that see a puck and swing at it. Not many with patience, vision and/or creativity.

I think thats what they're getting at, that creativity was coached out of the offence previously. Players have that talent, let them try things. Trust in their ability.

NHL all time assists record holder for a LW is a start
Maybe give him ice time and good line mates

Their decisions revolve around Huberdeau.

Man, that sounded like a direct criticism of late game management and lines. Good.

Sounds like Huberdeau is getting unleashed next year.

Hard to say when they have been held back
Also a dman for offensive player trade seems likely at this point
No matter what you put guys in a position to succeed

I'd counter that with their decision revolving around playing their top line guys with the minutes top players should get. He just answered Huberdeau because that's who the interviewer asked about. Last year, the bottom lines had far too much time on the ice.
To say the decisions revolve around Huberdeau is ignoring the questions that weren't asked about all the other players on the team.

It's only words but I'm not sure how anyone could possibly be disappointed with what is being said
This presser is a 10 out of 10

Transparency and honesty are quickly emerging as core tenets of this management group. It's a stark contrast from the previous regime.

Huska says having a C is an essential role. He and Conroy will work together and make sure the right person is put in this position.

It definitely felt like an old boys' group when Sutter was named; and I was fanboying it up on my end as well, 2004 just wasn't that long ago in my heart.
But this sounds professional, measured, and analytical. Some people will get hung up on the "just make the playoffs" comment, but you can't get past what a crapshoot hockey can be once the playoffs start. I don't think it's an unreasonable or unambitious stance to take.
I'm encouraged most by Huska's demeanor, which I confess I was completely unfamiliar with. He acts like he knows this is his shot, and I am pretty confident he'll do everything he can to succeed. Hopefully it's enough!

Sounds like a really smart coach but that is nothing new if you heard him speak before.
I like that they identified we gave up some big chances the advanced stats may have looked good but our defensive zone was a mess at times last season.

Maybe for Love it was HC or new org.
