I'd expect an announcement within the next hour? Just a guess based on how they called the presser for Conroy.
Curious to see the rest of the staff (assuming thats announced) and also if Iginla is announced the new "advisor to the coach" or whatever that new role is. Also, if Iginla is there, does that overshadow Huska?
Or were Friedman, Weekes, Steinberg, Francis, NHL Network and whoever else wrong and its actually Mitch Love announced today?
Should be an interesting morning.

Sec214 will be immediately inducted to the CP hall of fame if Love somehow emerged as the candidate. Alas is see no way that happens otherwise someone within the Flames org would have completely squashed the Huska announcement that all the major outlets referred to late last week.
I wonder if this has to do with trying to snag an assistant from another org like Tanguay? They want to make him Associate coach but the Wings are not interested in letting him go?

I think I’m fine with Huska getting his shot as HC now. He has put in his time with the org and always been held in high regard. It may just seem it’s not exiting because we’ve gotten used to him being around and not a fresh new name. With Love, he has had a great start in 2 seasons with the farm team but really is still behind Huska in experience and considering Love wasn’t the Flames first choice when he signed with the Heat it would’ve been a stretch to have him elevated to HC of the big club 2 years later.
