Default Garden weeds

Hi all, I have this weed growing all over my front lawn. Does anyone know what it is and how I can remove it without killing the grass?

Thanks!

Looks like snipegrass to me. Only solution is to douse the yard in gas and light it.

Is this post serious? Have you never seen common lawn grass before?

Or road salt. Buy a dozen 20 kg bags of road salt and spread it out evenly across your lawn. Should take care of it.

I agree that does look like grass that's going to seed, but if you post a picture of the whole plant, that might indicate something different. There are types of grassy weeds that produce seedheads as well. If it's got leaves that are different from the rest of your grass, that might indicate a grassy weed.

Big problem indeed. Luckily, the solution isn't too hard. You can easily remove it all with a lawn mower to avoid the situation getting worse. I would recommend setting the lawn mower to around the 2 to 2.5 inch setting. You'll want to do this every 2-3 weeks about 4-5 times. After that, I don't think you'll have an issue with it for around 8 months.

This is really a literal "touch grass" moment.
