That's not how contract negotiations work. The guy has only scored only 23 goals in 184 games as contracts are based on body of work and not simply two rounds of a playoff year. He actually regressed last season over the 21/22 season.

He rebuttals with recognizing how deficient the Oilers are of an offensive defenseman, and is filling the gap left by the previous PP QB. With his new role, he pro-rates his performance. All is on the table in the negotiations. Feelings will be hurt. lol

He could go even go nuclear, and demand a trade. Or Holland recognizes he can't sign him, and trades him.

Holland has his work cut out of him this offseason as there are no more Keith and Smith's on the roster they can pay on the side to retire or LTIR this year.

I didnt realize that in the regular season he got 3 points less than Nurse and absolutely slaughtered Nurse's stats in the playoffs.

That is going to be a hilarious contract negotiation.

Bouchard is not very good....but he's better than most of what else they have...but they dont have any money.
