So many games this year where a timely power play goal would have made a huge difference.

Flames power play was an epic fail.

Even 5 on 3 was a disaster.

If that's the case, I do not want him to be the HC, because if he becomes HC then we'll need to hire a DC and our defense might suffer.

Its unbelievable how bad they messed it up, Huberdeau was ignored on one side of the ice.

Its not like Muller has a track record of great powerplays.

Lindholm was under utilized too.

Lindholm and Huberdeau were in no man's land while Kadri, Toffoli, and Andersson kind of played a little three man game.

It was just terrible.

I believe Frank Seravalli said something similar today but I did hear it around Gallant a few days ago prior to FS on the BB show.
Director of Coaching Development?

I feel it's gonna be Huska as HC and that makes me kind of feel Meh.

Which according to the players, they didn’t practice once all year.

There’s a tweet out there somewhere but I can’t be bothered to find it.

The Flames did practice the PP...it's 3 on 3 that they didn't practice all year.

I'm pretty sure the PP was just a rumor from Seravalli that was later debunked.

How to make a misprint run wild for months in one easy step.

Step 1. Post a tweet on Calgarypuck

I don't take anything Steinberg and his buddies say as gospel. Their level of schilling for their favs is quite annoying.

Meh.

Epic fail is way overstating it.

19th overall so just under average yet 4 teams below them made the dance.

Could have been better for sure, but this clubs downfall this year starts and ends in the crease.

Team D gets a bit better, some real goaltending improvement....they are an easy playoff squad IMO.

Las Vegas had the 18th best PP and is two wins away from the Cup. 17th was Detroit and 19th was Calgary.

Embrace the randomness.

What is the status of Gelinas through all of this? Was he not an assistant coach of some kind over the past several years? He survived all the way through from Hartley to Sutter. I always thought he was a guy that was going to rise the ranks and become head coach but his name is nowhere in the mix. Is he in a different role now or left the org?

Gelinas got moved to player development before Sutter's first full season as coach.
