I just found think link from the CBC website. Looks like the series will start up again June 7, 2007 on CBC Newsworld. The article makes the point that the series was shot in 'magnificant high definition'....but then they air it on CBC newsworld and not the CBC HD channel? I truly do hate CBC.

MJK, there's a fairly good discription at this link as well.

For anyone that's been looking for the series on DVD, have you seen it anywhere in HD DVD or Blu-ray?

I bought mine on amazon.ca, haven't received it yet. But I rememeber them having it in both HD DVD and Blue-ray.

I've watched 4 episodes on HD so far and have a bunch more DV-R'ed. Simply amazing footage... the super slo-mo of the great white jumping out of the water is the coolest thing I've seen in a long time. I think Sigourney Weaver is the narrator? She does a good job.

Yup, FS beats amazon.ca on Blu-ray as well. 89.99 vs. 99.99. Surprising actually. Ordered! Screw you CBC newsworld

Got it at Walmart for 68.00 .. ... Futureshop was sold out.

Walmart one is the David Attenbourough narrated one...

The Great white slo-mo was amazing, as was the Ibek (sp?) horn fight.

$59 ah lame. I bought mine on amazon.ca for $69 with the pre-order pricing.

Just talking about the nice animals! These kids can barely write a sentence so getting into great detail is not an option right now. I am looking for some basic, elementary style worksheets...that kind of thing. Fill in the blanks, wordsearch, matching...very simple stuff!

Must have missed it. Is it only an hour long show? And was in on the CBCHD channel?

I bought two copies of this amazing set - one for the wife for her B-day next month and one for a client who is having surgery and will need some recovery diversion. What amazing footage.

I also bought a copy of this series. Unbelievable stuff. Some of the shots are unreal, the scale, the numbers, just mind blowing. Unlike any nature documentary I have ever seen.

The DVD's are flippin amazing too...10 minutes of bonus footage for every episode, showing how they got the shots and following the animals etc....really cool stuff.

I bought the series and I agree that it is one of the best DVD's I have purchased. The wife and I sit down and watch an episode a night. Well worth the purchase.

If anyone has Animal Planet, they are re-running the series on Wednesday nights and Thursday morning/afternoons. I saw the Great Plains episode before heading off to do some work today.

I picked up the series a month ago or so and have slowly been working my way through them in order. The caves episode was awesome with the giant pile of bat dung.
