Bob wasn't very good so that is problematic going forward for the Panthers. I thought it was a pretty good road game overall, the referring was really bad though, hopefully that evens out.
Yeah, my mistake...he did play when they had other guys out earlier in the season (convenient?)
He was on LTIR after that until the end of the year and then miraculous recovery for game one.
Like I said though Panthers are also well over the cap if their entire team is healthy
Stone had surgery on his back again at the end of Jan and was put on LTIR. Was that conveniently timed to use the loophole? Possibly.
Vegas also didn’t use all the space available. They added Quick, Blueger, and Barbashev, a total of 6.5m of cap according to capfriendly. Quick hasn’t played at all, and Blueger only played last series with Dallas. Barbashev is the lone standout and has been excellent. That said, it wasn’t a great use of LTIR shenanigans with this trio.

I'm cheering for Vegas in this series and was thrilled they took out the Oilers
I do think the NHL needs to change though, cap should apply in the playoffs. They could tweak it so teams are still able to ice a full squad.
It just happens too often where a top end player just happens to be ready to go game one after being injured for months
You are talking about the coach of the ####ing team...yeah he might be a little biased
like I said the announcers thought it was dumb and they would be down for a lengthy 5 on 3, it wasn't a crazy thought. Panthers are undisciplined and have been outplayed in almost every game these playoffs. If their goalie doesn't stand on his head they lose. When is the last time they controlled a game? Team that is dominating play usually takes less penalties.
10 days off, 5 days off...whatever, seems like a lame excuse. Its not like Vegas played 2 days ago
If ever I want to read “lame excuses” I only need to read your posts after a Flames loss.

Yeah. The refs “missed” the early downward stick chop by Hill, some boarding on Cousins, hook on Barkov, head shot on Reinhart.
Pretty chintzy stuff called on Florida considering what, and how much, they missed on Vegas
Easy to remember those when that is what you are looking for, but did you notice the knee by Lomberg against Pietrangelo shortly before the goal that tied it at 2, and the follow up run from the blue line after seeing he was hurt? See the numerous hacks to peoples hands in scrums by Tkachuk all game? Did you notice Gudas jumping on a guys back in front of the net driving the players head down to the ice?

Three times. Hey they've made it to the Finals so good on them. But they're a team of scumbags. If they were wearing Leaf jerseys I'd be loving it but I'd still admit it's a dirty team. As a neutral fan they are a very easy team to dislike.

The dirty game within the game.
That's just nasty stuff, trying to slowly but surely mess the guys knee up so he loses effectiveness as the series wears on. I used to like Lomberg, but I wouldn't shed a tear if blew his own knee out in game 2. What a piece of crap. And I am no Vegas fan, believe you me.

Boy that's really, really dirty. He was going out of his way to target the knee repeatedly. That can be career altering stuff there. Hope the league gives him a warning.

Anyone see Maurice post game presser. What a loser trying so hard lol.
One of his answers felt like he was trying to imitate Darryl. Something about where it went wrong and his answer being the third goal scored was where it went wrong.

Damn. That's scummy.
