He’d should fire his agent immediately if he even entertained entering negotiations on a deal at this point.
The Blue Jays should also be trying to assess if this is close to the real Vladdy and if it is, maybe they don’t want to sign him to such a mega deal. Over the long haul, I think Vladdy is probably 10% better than he is right now. That’s quite good but Bo might just be the face of the franchise and the guy that you get the mega deal done with.

With the more balanced schedule, it would be great if the MLB put a certain win percentage as requirement to get the benefits of winning a division. For example, a team that won their division but doesn’t have a .550 win percentage, would be added to the wildcard race and an extra Wildcard spot opens up instead.

I think Vlad is still learning a lot as an MLB hitter. Bo is a year older than Vlad, and Bo was not great for a large part of the year last year, look at Bo Bo now, he is incredible. The talent is there with Vlad, I do think there is a lack of maturity that exists with Vladdy that he needs to overcome. You see Bo talking with Mattingly all the time and basically working side by side with Semien when he was a Jay. Semien is what you would call "a Pro's Pro", and Bo gravitated to that.
Vladdy gravitated to Teo and Lourdes, good guys, talents, but not the guys that are laying the ground work for Vladdy to know what it takes to be great. Once Vladdy cracks the code of being a pro, he will be great IMO.

Or his wrist injuries and other stuff keep piling up, he loses a bit on his bat speed and he becomes ordinary very fast. Not saying that will happen but it’s not exactly low at this point. Just because his dad was a HoFer doesn’t mean he will be.

The ump should be embarrassed making that call.

Citi field is a really nice ballpark. I was fortunate enough to catch a couple of games there last year. Great sightlines, great atmosphere.

Vlad and Chapman cooling down is really hurting this teams ability to score runs. Springer and Bo are fine and others chip on but those two are cold.

That strike call should cost that ump his job. That was terrible.

Richards has very quietly creeped his ERA down to a respectable 3.24 and has the best K rate in the bullpen.
Nice to see
Pearson starting to turn into a stud reliever is sure nice too.

Classic bullpen dynamics, just a constant flux of dependability and guys going from high leverage to mop up. Last year Richards was a mop up guy, and Garcia was a set up guy. Now it’s the opposite.
