IIRC Whynot and Beck were the players drafted after trading down with the pick we received in the Lucic for Neal trade. Would've been nice if one of these guys became a player, just for the Schadenfreude.

I would assume it's they don't think they're worth an offer. They never had contracts and they weren't taking one up, and the Flames reserve list can't be that high with the lack of draft picks they've had.

The Flames didn't stock up on the NCAA free agents back in the spring. Hopefully they'll pick up a few CHLers or Europeans. Pickings are probably slim for an impact player, but more organizational depth would be nice.
