It's not just the length, though, it would also be more demand for men's tennis surely?

6 sets could be 6 hours on clay. We don't want the 2nd match starting at midnight.

Where's a good place to get match highlights? I'm used to the Tennis TV 8 minute highlights and all there is on Youtube are the RG short 3 minute highlight packages and they don't even show all the matches.

I can safely say the demand to watch a Zverev vs Molcan match is not that high. They had a chance to put on Jabeur vs French player Dodin and they didn't.

They are tough to find - I think the main reason is the fear of a copyright strike from Youtube if somebody affiliated with the French Open sees unauthorized content on that platform. TennisTV doesn't seem to care that much if somebody uses their content as their main goal is to get more subscribers to their service.

It's adding insult to injury when you're already treating the women badly and then feature a guy in a night match who treated a woman very badly.

I guess their reasoning is that Monfils withdrew too late (midnight) and it's unfair to disrupt a player's schedule. Dodin-Jabeur would be pushed back possible 2 to 3 hours. That match is about to start right now 5:15 instead of 8:30.

Zverev was the 4th and last match on Lenglen anyways so it's not as much as a disruption. Same with Fritz being moved to Lenglen.

Meanwhile, Sinner's been pushed to a 5th set.

That one is understandable, I mean who doesn't want to watch Shapo?

To be fair that match should be great, I still don't know who to cheer for in it tho. Leaning towards Alcaraz (please don't boo me)

And Garcia is out. Garcia-Svitolina would have been a candidate.

Also I don't think the players care. Like why would Andreescu want to play at night, in the cold, damp, heavy conditions of Paris? This is probably another media creation. There are 4 matches per day on Chatrier, 2 mens, 2 womens, leave it at that.

IMO it's a really interesting match as the two have never faced each other from my knowledge. I don't think Shapo has much of a chance but Alcaraz hasn't likely faced a lot of players like him that may try to hit a winner at any time at any place on the court. Unfortunately I feel Alcaraz is going to feast on Shapo's seve.

Hopefully, Denis can take a calm and calculating approach into the match versus Charlie like he did against Arnaldi. He served quite well in that match and was hitting to big targets and that kept the unforced errors down. If he can work the points to his advantage, he could give Charlie some trouble.

I just hope he doesn't come out ultra aggressive trying to hit winners from 5 feet behind the baseline because it will be a short match if that happens.

Leylah/Taylor and Gaby/Luisa won their opening round doubles matches at the French Open. Gaby is also playing in mixed doubles and Bianca is as well.

In case you're not feeling old enough today, Coco Gauff will face Mirra Andreeva in round 3 of the French Open. Combined age of 35 lol

Bianca is into round 3 following a 6-1 6-4 win over Emma Navarro. Nice comeback in set 2 to avoid having to play a 3rd set.

Second set is exactly the type Bianca has been dropping over the past couple seasons, and so even when she won it took a toll.
Very happy to see her finish this one in two
