That was maybe one of the best Q3s I've seen in years.

Leclerc with a 3 place grid penalty for impeding Norris in the tunnel.

So there were no idiotic tsn commercials today? Not sure what changed, but don't recall seeing this ESPN on ABC watermark before. Whatever the case, I hope it continues.

If Lawrence Stroll really wanted to take this sport seriously he'd be replacing Lance as soon as he could. The gap between him and Alonso is massive.

TSN did something to their scheduling overnight. I had pre-race and the race scheduled to record and double checked yesterday evening. Check the PVR at 7:30, and nothing!

I watched the second half of the race live, and TSN had the usual idiotic commercials.

Ya, my recording today includes the 2hr pre-race show, which it normally would not. I know there have been times when tsn has the incorrect start time right until the last minute, and pvr recordings get screwed up as a result.

Either way, I had a 4.5 recording today and no commercials during the race.

I've begged them to put a director on that actually knows a thing or two about F1, who has the mental capacity to know when to go to commercial and when not to.

Races on abc/ESPN never have commercials. But tsn doesn’t pick up that feed that I’ve ever seen. They run their usual crappy commercials. Both just piggy back Sky anyways.

I actually thought I read abc/ESPN would have side by side this year because of a new contract and sponsor but I watched live on abc and there weren’t any I don’t think.

Too bad about AM’s poor tire choice. And with Stroll faltering Merc is right there now in the WCC.

My PVR used to record TSN, but I think that because ABC lately includes the pre-race as the same programme as the race itself, it starts earlier and overrides it.

It is the same Sky feed, and no commercials. Sorry TSN, I didn’t make the choice to skip your ads, but I’m not complaining.

Yeah, I'll be curious to see if Stroll moves into a management role or something. Replacing him with someone like a Gasly or Norris would be huge.

I’m anything but a Verstappen guy but it was damn impressive that he could drive those medium tires right up until the rain started to pour…and maintained a 10 second lead on them. The timing of the rain looked like it lined up for those who started on hards but Verstappen was pretty fearless out there. Monaco is already a scary track but doing it on tires that are long past their expected usefulness takes an immense amount of skill.

Monaco was a great race, and should serve as a reminder that overtaking is not a prerequisite for excitement.

Overtaking not a prerequisite as long as it rains midway through

And even with rain, it wasn’t very exciting. It was boring AF for 55 laps, exciting for 10 laps, utterly disappointing for 1 lap and boring for another 15 laps.
