That definitely violates bylaws, at least in Calgary, where all signs must adhere to the temporary signs on highways bylaws, which includes a prohibition on shapes and formats similar to traffic signs.

I can’t stand DS and the UCP but AP is a nut job. So who knows what is true. They are both nut jobs so part, all, or non of what AP said in his speech may or may not be true.

I can tell you with absolute certainty, since I work in the industry regarding by-laws, that the sign by-law section in the Red Deer land use by-law is almost identical to that of Calgary's.
