No, I do remember that year, but it wasn't the one we filmed. This one was a nice day and there were the outdoor beer gardens. Somebody got tossed through a window at the Den, too.

Ooo, I vaguely remember that. Maybe.

Just checked my video...it was 1999 BSD FWIW.

Edit: OMG, just got to the part where we're interviewing a white guy with blonde dreadlocks. That guy was fataed up, but making a lot of sense.

Ah, that was the year of the Texas mickey of CC whiskey with the pump on it, so you could pump it directly into your gullet. That was a bad idea. Mostly for my friend who was unwilling to say stop.

The way I read your post... I immediately thought of this:

It's Aussie outback brand which I've seen in other stores. So I assumed it'd be OK.

Actually after a few pieces, flavor wise it's not bad. But the ultra soft texture is still really weird. I don't like that texture.

While it's nice that they've "opened" westbound transcanada to stoney north, they still managed to screw it up with wonky lanes and even removal of one of the lanes which still confuses so many strugglers. That whole area has, IMO, not been well handled.

Also on Stoney south they look almost done and need to make the final connection. Road is nice looking blacktop already all painted up with the road markings. Hopefully they don't post a 50kph there for 3 months.

Up the hill? Would it even open before 2024?

I didn’t think there was going to be an actual exchange at 17th and old Banff coach. Just bow trail. Which means it won’t open any time soon. I’d love to be wrong though.

Looks like the WD TCH > NB Stoney movement has been set up as a dual exit with the inside lane intended top be primarily for the loop around to go south on Stoney with the option to split north (and merge with the outside lane). It's new and is catching people by surprise, hoping everyone will adjust because the exit is way slower than it used to be a few weeks ago.

On SB this morning I see they have actually raised the speed limit from 50 to 70 on the SB>EB movement which is welcome.

The project as a whole is not slated to open for another year (Fall 2024 IIRC) but the Stoney/TCH interchange could easily be completed this year based on my highly uneducated observations. Any chance they would open it up fully (other than the connections to the unfinished portion of Stoney heading south up the hill)? It would suck to have to sit through another winter and summer of construction speed limits when the interchange is essentially finished.

There will be half interchanges there, Old Banff Coach Road will have access to and from the North only, while 17th will have access to and from the South only (I might have that backwards, just operating on my increasingly ####ty memory)

From what I remember, the SWRR was essentially finished for a very long time, but didn't open before the scheduled date, due to... reasons? I'm sure the WRR will be the same...

Tennis elbow. You hear about stuff like tennis or golf elbow and think "meh sore elbow, big deal" but holy #### it's way worse than I imagined it to be. I can barely lift a mug of coffee this morning.

*i was a kid the last time i picked up a tennis racket and i've only golfed 3x in my life (well... real golf... not mini golf - ha!)... kind of crazy considering the number of golf courses in the okanagan.

Just the general inconsiderate humanity that decides to take Transit with no regard for other people:

- Video facetiming
- No headphones blasting music
- Occupying a whole bench and not moving over to let people sit
- Too lazy to take off a backpack on a full train

In a past life, I would be more proactive to say things, but with kids and the ever-present danger of stabbing over nothing, keeping my mouth shut seems to be a better idea.

Yah 17th will have a road connector to south Stoney and hwy 8 west only.

Last time I drove old Banff coach it didn’t look like any interchange just a bridge. But they could still be building

Had the pleasure of tearing a tendon in my elbow in March (so yeah, tennis elbow for me too). No summer hockey and can't swing a golf club either. And everyday tasks can be painful. It sucks.
