BS penalty call in the final minute. Normally I don't care but it's a very meh call to make in a final minute of a tie game.

Tkachuk better grab the trophy and skate away with it.
2010 - Flames finish 16th overall and miss the playoffs: Flyers and Habs both finish below the Flames but still make the playoffs and meet in the Conference Final with Philly going to the Final.
2023 - Flames finish 16th overall and miss the playoffs: Panthers finish below the Flames but still make the playoffs and go to the Final.

Wanted out in 2022 not when the first deal was signed. Tkachuk would have been a flame for another year. I know from a good source who’s still with the team he wanted the Matthews/Marner contract.

He wanted to stay in Calgary as a 21 year old but we had the Real Deal that we turned in Looch so we could not sign him longterm.
