Penner is terrible, and no, her being a 'progressive' doesn't have anything to do with that. I put progressive in quotes because frankly I don't think she actually gives a sh-t about being progressive so much as she cares about upholding an image. Penner, from those I've talked to that have known and worked with her on other committees and councils, is a self-serving dick and cares more about getting her name in the paper and her face on television than actually doing the work.
At least Druh Farrell actually accomplished things for her constituents.

It really seems that way. People really are scared and tiptoe on eggshells around someone like me. There's alot of 'I'm sorry." "I don't mean to offend." "Don't take this the wrong way." And it's over nothingburgers.

Thank you for providing this link. In general, I think the significant majority of recommendations are achievable, albeit some of them are very vague so not sure how to measure if achieved.
I did find a few sections where I had some comments:
30 - Is this more Gladue report nonsense?
31 - Seems like setting up another legal system for a particular ethnicity? Doesn't seem aligned with a democracy.
35 - Seriously?
45 - Context for implementation of UNDRIP, the Royal Proclamation of 1763, and Treaty of Niagara of 1764 are important. I am uncomfortable with unilateral power being given to any one party in our parliamentary democracy. Ultimately the will of all the people should be relevant in a democracy today and has to be considered.
52 - I don't think this is doable anymore.
92i - This is important, but not sure how this can consistently be legally binding especially with what year we are in today.
It seems, anything of real substance or control being given up is something that we just simply can't do. Not sure how to ever reconcile there.

Cool. Go to a dinner party, walk up to five people, say "I like to #### kids," and then go up to an additional five people and say "I think Indian food is disgusting." Let me know which one is more socially unacceptable.

What if your dinner party is with the Indian chapter of NAMBLA? Or IMBLA as we like to call it.

Taken one at a time, a GS anecdote is a bit strange. Add them together, and you’ve got someone who is living the most unique life affected by the most extreme example of every single “progressives gone awry” situation that anyone has ever dreamed of. No wonder they’re always asking questions, I would to if I lived in a Dilbert comic strip version of a human life.

Welcome to politics?
And the bird comment was specifically because that could be the only thing contribution shes made in her term at this point?

Man, I get it, I just genuinely thought it was funny.

I laughed pretty hard at this.
Also can we elect Sliver to carry out this social experiment?

Do I say, I don't mean to offend but, in front if each of those?

Call a white person a pedo in front of a group of people and they'll brush it off. Call a white person racist in front of a group of people and you're going to get a 5-minute, blubbering monologue about their coworkers, high school friends and how they personally would have ran the Underground Railroad if they just had a chance.
In politics and media, it is much more damaging for a white person to be a suspected racist than a pedo. For those people it's safer to be on the Epstein flight log than to be anonymously accused of racism.

nope. they just don't like anything that smacks of progressive.
I think they hate people stumbling forward with a few missteps, and would rather drag everyone back to a previous era of straight, male dominated conservatism.

My wife is Asian and the number of anecdotes she shares about the weird kind of workplace interactions that Girlysports describes has been zero. I have even asked if anything like that has happened, and if I am to trust her, no. All of her workplaces have been entirely comfortable and normal in all those regards. I have to wonder if GS is in some kind of bubble. A job change isn’t necessarily bad.
