I think marchenko could be a sleeping giant. Looked awesome in the khl 2 seasons ago. Big. Rhs. But boqvist is also interesting for sure.

I can actually understand if Lindholm was really tight with Johnny and Matthew.

I too have been in a situation when you form friendships and bonds at work and those people move on and new people come in who are still good people but you don't have the same feeling with them.

Compound that with the season we had and it makes the situation worse.

If true at least he isn't taking us for a ride and bolting last second.

While I have no idea about their prospect pool, I think getting a too 10 draft pick in this years draft for almost anyone is a stretch.

They have 2 picks. No way they trade 3rd overall, but 22nd? I could see it.

Blue Jackets make a lot of sense they didn't pay all that money to bring Johnny home to pick 3rd.

I call BS. I believe he was fed up with Sutter. But everything has changed and hard to imagine you don't at least hear it out.
I think seeing very little cap space to sign the type of extension he believes he deserves plays a big part too

I think the cap is getting a decent bump we have the space to sign him but the roster will be limited if he gets a big deal.

My worry with Lindholm was can he carry his own line with the pressure of a huge contract.

He is one of the reasons Markstrom signed here he should take him as well.

Yeah, he is a much better than Huby and plays a more critical role on the roster.

That Huby contract really ####ed up our wage structure.

I think part of GMBT's departure was not wanting to clean up this mess.

The next star player Flames develop or acquire is going to want more money than Huby.

Can Lindholm please take his buddy Markstrom with him?

Change Lindholm to Hanifin and drop Sillinger from the deal and it makes sense for Columbus.

Lindholm would be a good fit with Gaudreau

The only time he produced at the top level was with Johnny

Is Lindholm and 16 enough to get #3?

Nope. Nothing on the Flames has that value

Cole Sillinger is still young but his numbers don't pop out at any level so far it feels like Coronato is a better prospect at this point.

I would say Columbus would have to add above the 22nd pick.

You aren’t going to get a young top 6 center for Lindholm. Sillinger would be better than I’m expecting. The deadline offers will be late 1sts and okay prospects from playoff teams.

agreed. If you want a hockey trade, it better to do it at the draft...if you are looking for futures, then the TDL day is ok

I hope that Lindholm lets the team know sooner rather than later so they can have a plan moving forward.

Any deal for Lindholm with the Jackets needs to bring back Kent Johnson for me. No Johnson, no Lindholm.

You are vastly underrating the value Lindholm will have.

I don’t think so. I’m hoping I’m wrong but go look at UFA trades. Usually they don’t include top prospects. Fiala, Reinhart, and Stone are decent comparables for what I’m expecting. Fingers crossed for a Forsberg/Erat trade.
