I buy Nokian tires from there, so get to enjoy the warranty, but I find them otherwise pretty expensive and the quality of work to be questionable (especially based on location).
I don't believe you need to store your tires there to get the warranty.

Paying more than you think is fair can be a gear grinder, but if you really felt that way, why not go somewhere else? Seems like the type of service that could be done at dozens of places in town. If it isn’t worth your time to go somewhere else, it feels to me that the $75 is probably not too far off the value of their time.

No, to be clear, storage is not a requisite for the warranty. It's simply that over the years I got more kids (more stuff in the garage; less space for tires) and the cars got nicer (less favourable to transporting tires)... The incremental cost is a non-issue (~$55 or ~$100 per season is less than $10 bucks a month)...
And yes, Hakkas means Kaltire, so there's that.
To be honest, one of the biggest factors is that I use the location at Chinook and find that a better way of killing a couple hours (shop or grab a bite) than hanging out at a dealership or waiting on their pickup/drop off service, or worst of all, the awkward customer shuttle.

That is a classic Accord but man the front and rear overhang. I would argue the 4th gen was the best Accord ever as interior room was improved, interior materials were nicer, and the 2.2L engine was a major improvement over the 2.0L in the 3rd gen. Maybe the most reliable car we have ever owned and it did everything well.

I debated posting a 3rd or 4th gen.

After being my only vehicle for 15 years, my mid 2000s Volvo XC70 has bit the dust, and it's depressing trying to find a replacement option. Seems like what station wagons still exist are really overpriced, even looking at used going back a couple years. I've never liked the overall feel of driving SUVs (although only driven a handful of rentals). I'm thinking about compromising a bit on the storage-capacity and going with a subcompact SUV, which seems to be the closest thing to a station-wagon in my price range... Obviously that's giving up a lot of storage, but the only time the storage will be an issue is camping trips and I can be resigned to using a roof rack in those cases. Thoughts on subcompact SUVs in general? Models to consider or avoid?

Mid to high 20s if going with used, but would go into the low 30s for new. The Subaru Crosstrek, Hyundai Kona, Kia Seltos, and Nissan Kicks are some of the ones I've been looking at online that fit roughly into the price range.

Shopped in this range a couple years ago. Crosstrek felt a little bare bones compared to other options. Seltos was quite impressive as far as options and safety features. We were really close to getting a CX 30 but the back seat was just a bit small for the not quite out of the nest kids. If it was just the wife and I it would have won out, much like you mentioned I was just going to use a rooftop box for storage if needed. We ended up with a CX 5 which is just up from your range on price/size. We like the finish and comfort level of the Mazda over the Kia/Subaru. The infotainment can be polarizing as they don't do touch screens. I've had the Nissan as a rental and it was not for me, but obviously a rental won't have the trim level.

r/cars would be all over the Mazda for sure. I'd personally be totally fine without a touchscreen.
I like the thought of the Seltos. I love my wife's Telluride and there's barely a KIA I see in the wild that doesn't catch my eye. Plus all their self driving stuff is great. Lots of bang for buck with that brand.

That was one of the things I wasn't sure about when I got my Mazda 3, but now I vastly prefer their control wheel over touchscreens. After getting used to it I can navigate through Android Auto faster than in my wife's Highlander with a touch screen. The tactile feedback from the wheel lets you control things with your periphery vision, vs a touchscreen where you need to look exactly where you want to press, and then sometimes it's a pain to press where you want if the road is a little bumpy
