Maybe he is thr next great gm.
What he was poached and became Yzerman and built a Tampa.
Or maybe he's a Sakic and stays put and look what happen.
He could be great he could be ok or flat out suck we don't know. The smoke around him makes it seem like he has the potential to be good to cup.

Does it really matter who the next GM is? Until the current ownership is long gone, it will be nothing but the same old story for yet another decade or so. Hey Snoop and/or Ryan Reynolds, since that Ottawa thang ain't lookin good, maybe youse guys should take a look into the Flames, just a bit closer to home for either of y'all...

Which is precisely why I think having a poll about the topic is silly. How could we possibly know what any of these people would actually do to run the team? Chances are none of them are going to win, 31/32 teams won’t.
Tre put a good roster together in 2021-22 and went all in by trading a 1st+ for Toffoli. It didn’t work. That’s not bad, it’s just sad. Still got to watch some fun hockey.

Diversity hiring worked out great for Bud Light recently as well
Hows about just hiring the best candidate for the damn job. And leave politics out of it

The usual suspects will be in here caterwauling about it until it either works or doesn’t. We know this.

She was promoted to assistant GM in Toronto under a year ago. I think a lot of people would have a hard time understanding the move.
Maybe Cassie Campbell is available?

Her husband certainly is....and a serious candidate at that.
The funny thing about all the Conroy support for GM is not hearing nearly as much about Pascall in the same vein....yet they were hired the same day to the same position iirc.

Go back and listen to the Maloney interview from the draft lottery. He referred to "man" or "guy" 3 or 4 times. He hasn't talked to any women about the position.

All I want is a good-great hire for GM.
Man, woman, cat, or donkey I don't care. I will take a zombie parakeet if it means making runs in the playoffs year after year.
Starved for winning.

Now I'm looking forward to a new GM and welcoming our zombie parakeet overlords.

It's really not. Best person for the role period leave that b.s out of it. Everyone can do everything, you believe one thing great, don't push your views on others and they should do the same to you.

Screw that. We don't need no stinking Oiler fan as our GM.
