Meh, sometimes I do feel bad I have the ability to work from home or office, whereas operations people can't.
I don't think anyone should feel guilty for having the ability to work from home.
Sure you can have some sympathy for your coworkers who can't but good on you for being able to.
It's probably just company owners that view it as morally wrong, especially the people who run billion dollar companies.

Don't feel bad. If your job allows you to work from home, it makes the experience for the ops people who can't work remotely better since there's less traffic on the roads, less crowded trains/buses, etc.
Suspect his bigger issue with Tesla shareholders is him saying he'll say what he wants even if it costs him money.
Honest question: why is Tesla stock double Mercedes and $60 up on VW? It’s $30 higher than Toyota.
The best car companies on the planet with hundreds of models across dozens of brands, and none are better bets than a company that makes four cars, none of which make sense to own if you don’t own your own house.
Personality cults, man. Just the worst.

Some people believe Musk when he tells them Tesla is 2 weeks away from full vehicle autonomy. Yes, some people are dumb. Musk himself has said Tesla is worth nothing without it, so if that were true, you'd value Tesla at near nothing, or whatever actual FSD would add to the company. Because he wants to utilize the "fleet" of vehicles owned by people as robotaxis to be rented out, people paid up to $20k Canadian extra for their vehicle, because it would be a money maker. This was 4 years ago.
So if you believe in Musk, and that robotaxis will be deployed in 2020, Tesla is worth more than it is now. But you'd have to be...how do we put this...dumb? Ya, dumb, to believe that.
It's actually amazing to watch this short clip to see how wrong he was.
My opinion is it is impossible to do what he wants with vision only, and not true AI.
Slightly off topic but I don’t think I’ve vocalized it here before and I am certainly not referring to anyone specifically but I cannot wrap my head around what kind of absolute smooth brained moron one would have to be to believe that the actual richest man on planet earth wasn’t a “global elite”.
Elon comes from a very well off family, but he doesn't come from generational wealth or a political family, the typical fodder for global elites. He's an outsider who shot past most of them and upsetting the apple cart works to his advantage. The systems they've spent generations developing are meant to work for them and keep people like Elon out, he had to muscle his way in and disrupt these systems to establish himself.
Why would you assume the global elites would all be on the same page? They're a bunch of psychos endlessly jockeying for position and more power, the only thing you can expect them to agree on is that they belong up there and we belong down here.
I don't know where Elons heading with this, but if he's getting there by restoring voices to people I like and taking massive public dumps on people I find utterly insufferable, I'm not going to say no to good time. Worst case scenario: it all ends up just as bad as where it started.

So the silver bullet was… adaptive cruise control, deployed in a manner nobody would ever use it?

The only voices he's restoring are the voices of hatred and bigotry, so if that's what you like, you are the company you keep.
