It dawned on me how lucky the Oilers have been with the health of their wonder twins. In these final years of their contracts they better hope both of them continue to be healthy. Multiple playoff chances now with both at peak condition and still failure, they better pray that continues. One injury away from being a bottom 5 team every season. That’s how bad their depth is.

It's true for both of them as they know their time playing together is winding down. I can just imagine the conversations they have with each other of how they can't wait to leave the organization for greener pastures.

They are two wins better.

Seriously, this years Oilers were better than last years by virtue of Skinner and Ekholm being added and RNH having a big year. A couple young guys emerged a little.

But they are still no good and their roster is going to get worse next year becasue of the cap.
