If the Coyotes were to survive this and stay in the Arizona they have to be rebranded as the Cockroaches.

This.

Realistically this is the best chance for QC to ever get a team again.

Full statement: https://www.nhl.com/coyotes/news/ari...pe/c-344345094

Quote:
(Tempe, Ariz) Arizona Coyotes President and CEO Xavier A. Gutierrez issued the following statement in response to the results of the special election in Tempe:

"We are very disappointed Tempe voters did not approve Propositions 301, 302, and 303. As Tempe Mayor Corey Woods said, it was the best sports deal in Arizona history. The Coyotes wish to thank everyone who supported our efforts and voted yes. So many community leaders stepped up and became our advocates and for that we are truly grateful. We also wish to thank the countless volunteers who worked so hard to try and make the Tempe Entertainment District a reality and the Tempe City Council for their support as well. While we wanted a different outcome, we remain grateful to all those who volunteered their time and talent. What is next for the franchise will be evaluated by our owners and the National Hockey League over the coming weeks."

The Bay Area is barely tapped with the Sharks. I think you could do one more team there, and I'd do that 1000 years before going into Suckremento.

The Warriors have a brand new arena but I think it was privately paid or and not sure they want a hockey tenant.

Sacramento has a new arena who love the Kings.

I'm pretty sure the Sacramento Kings arena isn't able to accommodate an ice plant.

How do you make everyone happy with a franchise move?

The Coyotes owners see that an NHL franchise is worth $1 billion. They want most of that for themselves.

Other NHL owners see expansion teams worth $1 billion, well over $30 million to each club.

I don’t think it will be anywhere in California, but if it is, that probably means Las Vegas to the Central. They won’t split up Calgary and Edmonton.

Edmonton has a new arena. Maybe someone will step up and finally buy them an NHL team.

I'm excited for the cool new jerseys and name they will have. Might be to quick for a name.

San Francisco Hockey Club for a season with plain jerseys

The people have clearly spoken. Coyote fan can be disappointed but apparently the case they tried to make wasn’t good enough to sway voters. This experiment has been bankrolled and forced for entirely too long, end it and give the franchise a chance for success in a market that wants to support it

Don't rule out Salt Lake City. Utah Jazz owner had a meeting with Bettman recently and if they get the 2030 Winter Olympics could see a new arena.

This was doomed to fail once it went to referendum. Tempe messed up and you can’t rely on the intelligence of the general public.

Oh well. I think the Yotes are cooked
