Not that it was likely that Arsenal were gonna pull off the miracle to win the title, but they've been thoroughly outplayed today. Terrific performance from Brighton, shame they won't be able to keep their team together much longer.

Congratulations you cheating City.
What happened to that huge financial fair play story anyway? Seems to have blown away in the wind.

Yeah, we had no answer for Saliba's injury.
The lack of bench depth was always going to be the problem if a key player got injured.

Back in the heady days when they were trophies left and right maybe you take a pay cut to win...but now?

That club is a hot mess. I wouldnt want anything to do with them because at the moment you dont know if you're going to have a chair when the music eventually stops....

Well there goes that. Arsenal can join the rest of us hoping for retroactive titles now.

I think it was blown away with gigantic fans made of cash.

This is getting ridiculous though.

Well, I was half right. Got. A little closer with my predictions than Slava.

Arsenal exceeded my expectations.

Spurs….not so much.

It is more likely that City purchase some retroactive titles.

The problem you had was thinking Spurs bought well, their summer window was horrible and addressed almost none of their needs.

Arsenal learned the lesson Liverpool did in 18/19: that you cannot give Man City any hope, any opening, or they will be ruthless. Won 14 in a row to end that year to catch Liverpool, could win 14 in a row to end this year too. They just do not stop coming when they are the chasers, so you cannot afford even one slip up, or they will pounce.

Let's hope the next season goes like that did too

It'll be interesting to see how Arsenal build off this season. Still a very young team overall, so should have some room to grow. Obviously a crucial summer window ahead, with CL football back they will definitely need some stronger depth pieces if they want to compete on both fronts.

Honestly, this year was your chance. Next year you’ve got midweek games thrown in, and likely a resurgent Liverpool/Chelsea.

Arsenal have to invest in their squad depth. But there isnt much point.

City just have too much depth. They just have an indefinite amount of money so it makes sense. They can have a star player at every position. Twice.

This is why you're looking at seeing teams selling like Chelsea, United, Liverpool and the other teams already sold...they just cannot compete with teams that have unlimited resources.

City have been caught financially doping. Red handed. As far as I can tell has there even been any form of consequence?

Interesting in the media coverage

Arsenal are plucky underdogs who tried their hardest and gallantly challenged for the title

But when poch spurs finished in 2nd, with a younger squad, it was a spursy bottle job

Spurs never led the league, arsenal will end up having the lead for 80% of the season and had an 13 point gap in january

Yeah, it’s absolutely a collapse. When you have an 8 point lead after match 29 and can’t close it out, what else would you call it? It’s the biggest collapse since they led at Christmas and lost the title to Leicester in 2015/16!
