They loved having him as a villain. They bit so hard on that Kassian BS that pretty much everyone on there actually agreed Tkachuk should have to fight this beer league clown who, like many players, ONLY had an NHL career because of Oilers' historically pathetic "depth".
C'mon Vegas get it done tonight. I'd love to see a repeat of game 3 and they come out and smack the Oilers in the mouth. And then we'll see Pissy and Mcelbows true colours of dirty plays and cheap shots.

Counted PP chances in WC series.
Oilers/Knights 44 in 5 games - 9 per game
Stars/Kraken 29 in 6 games - 5 per game
Pretty much supports the narrative of having to keep the Oilers on special teams for them to be competitive. Again I would like to see a stat of the Oilers record where there is 5 penalties or less in a game.

Their PP is lethal and basically can't be stpooed, apparently. Twice as many PP in a series is a good for the Oilers. Pp's at 3-2 in any game doesn't help them. When Pp's are 6-5 it helps them a lot.
I haven't felt like it's really one sided, just twice as many as other series. And I think that's a directive.

I thought you were referring to the fact that the goal went in off Hyman’s glove, not the splicing.
I was curious about that too. What's the rule? If you're holding your stick, it's allowed? I swear that didn't used to be a good goal, but I don't pay much attention to things and have a terrible memory, so there's that.
It was so cringey hearing all the SN goofs basically declaring Oiler victory in game 6 with comments like "we all know this is definitely going 7", etc.. God, I hope this all blows up in their faces tonight. Please hockey gods, I beg you. This needs to happen.

That's a pretty damning stat right there. Especially as Vegas was one of the least penalized teams all season. What's the 5v5 goal split in the series?
As much hatred as I have for the Oilers themselves, I hate their style of play even more. Scramble defense, flip it out of the zone and repeat until the puck lands on one of the cherry pickers sticks or until you get gifted a PP. They don't run a discernable breakout with quick transition, they don't maintain coverage in the defensive zone, they don't clog the middle to force turnovers.
They literally just play panic hockey until they get an opportunity to get it to McDavid or Draisaitl. It's an embarrassment to the game of hockey and the fundamentals of sport. It's just ratty hockey and wouldn't work at all if they didn't luck into those two players and that those 2 have played half of each game and more luckily haven't been injured.
They don't deserve to win anything.

I know how hard it is to be any good at PBP and why i think criticism of them is way over the top 99% of the time.
That being said, Singh is flat out and demonstrably terrible at the job.
Mispronunciations/complete misses, his differing inflection depending who has the puck in good spots, total unawareness at times of what is being called....its all just so cringey.
Singh has some potential. He is enthusiastic, has a great voice and I kind of like the singing thing.
But yeah, he just should be better at the basics of play calling. It drives me nuts, they spend so much money on broadcast rights so invest some money on the quality of the broadcast. Get the guy some coaching and feedback.
Same when Hrudey is on color. He is not very prepared and doesn't have much to say. Tell they guy that doing homework is part of his job.
