The league is doing everything under their power to get the Oilers the Cup. The league knows they are better off calling a ton of penalties, even against the Oilers since they can at least ice it. The league knows they have a better chance at winning killing penalties than playing a bunch of time 5v5. I would have to look but I believe they likely haven’t won a game where they have been fewer than 5-6 penalty calls in the game.

It’s a complete scam. League recognizes they can’t win playing straight up 5v5 so they give them PP opportunities early and hope they can hang on

When the league suspends AP, and trades off with DN, and the Knights still find a way to win with one of the best defensemen in the league the Oilers should be worried.

The Oilers have been poo 5v5, their goaltending is terrible, Skinner looks lost and without confidence, and Campbell is one banna peel from allowing 5 or more.

I mean Skinners stats in the playoffs are a .890 svpct and a 3.52 gaa. Lets be honest, a wet dog with a note in his mouth would be a better goaltending option.

I mean if I'm Drasiatl and Holy Diver I'm already preparing my this franchise is a loser trade request.

The only thing we're going to see and hear is that old Stanley Cup winner window slamming shut on their arrogant coaches fingers, and then months of crying and bitching and whining about the conspiracy against the Oilers.

These guys have had a walk in the park too, LA has key injuries to their top offensive players, Vegas is on 3rd string goaltender and had their best defenseman suspended. The Edmonton Oilers have been the biggest group of pretenders the entire season. But the media keeps felating them that they are lead contenders for the Cup. Complete joke. The aren’t close to being legit Cup contenders.

You could argue that they are the least complete team that entered the second round of the playoffs.

Bad goaltending, you look at secondary players. Kane outside of being an idiot has 4 points in 11 games and is a minus 4. Absorb that for a second. He's actually hurting the Oilers more then he's helping. Their blueline has done very little to help Skinner who has done little to help themselves.

Can we say that McDavid has been great. Not 5v5, all but 2 of his 7 goals and 12 of his 19 points have been on the pp. 5v5 he's atrocious and a -1.

Lets be clear, the driver on that team isn't McDavid, its Drasiaitl

Bouchard the future of NHL defensemen has 4 goals and 17 points right. But 2 assists, 2 assists are at even strength and he's a deep minus. He can't be trusted 5v5.

The Oilers are an illusion, beneficiaries of the pp.

If the Knights can stay out of the box in the next game, this one is over quick. Because the Oilers don't have the discipline to do the same.

Well to be fair the Knights have looked absolutely awful following a win in this series. Maybe for a change they should try to score the first goal of the game instead of giving one up early in the first for once. Cassidy has to put in some OT between now and the next game to figure out how to get his team to show up in back to back games as they don't want to go to game 7 with the way the officiating can alter the outcome in favor of the whiners to the north.
