I think a double-minor at the absolute most, not 5 and a game. I don't think there was intent to injure. I think a minor penalty would be justified. I would be pissed if a player did that to Flames player.

A penalty is the right call. 2 minute minor would suffice. Again though, the only thing consistent about NHL officiating is the inconsistency.

Dbl minor is not an option for boarding though. And intent to injure is a match penalty. A major is an action that results in an injury.
