That one could have broken Pietrangelo's neck but because it was one of the leagues little darlings we'll just gloss it over. Just a hockey play. McReferee and crew have been taking shots at Mark Stone all through the series. I hope the Knights just get to the point where they are fed up with it and think to themselves how best can we hurt the Oilers. How bout we just knock the diving, whining, entitled and arrogant little pricks right out of the playoffs.
Yeah, he could've gave him the Marty McSorley treatment, or maybe pulled a Bertuzzi and ended his career. What?

Red herrings aside, it was a two handed slash long after the puck left Draisatl's stick. Is what it is. But what ifs are not what's considered. Nevermind pseudo physics explanations.

Anyways. Both teams are short a d man for game 5. Ready your tin foil.

Sorry but that is a ridiculous take on the situation. It was a heck of a chop to the arms after the puck had left for a blatantly long period of time. This is the only place I have heard anyone insinuate that he dove on the play.

As for Kane, sure that was dirty. I think that
Pietrangelo shouldn't turn into the boards like that but of that was called two minutes for boarding it would be the right call.

Nurse getting a suspension feels sort of strange considering they were both willing fighters in the game that featured high tensions. My understanding for the rule was to prevent teams from gooning it up but as per the letter of the law it is the right call. Still feels a bit strange that it was the same penalty for an obviously worse infraction.

Nurse was suspended to help the Oilers it doesn't get any more obvious.

Boggles my mind people are arguing the instigator...he skates from the blueline and jumped a guy...it's not like they squared up.

Kane got suspended last year for cross checking Kadri into the boards straight in the numbers.

Game 3 he cross checks Petriangelo in the neck on a nothing play at the end of the period.

Game 4 he cross checks Petriangelo from behind in the numbers.

Absolutely no discipline? With his track record? Did they even review it?

The joke that is player discipline continues to one up itself.

He’s just a little too favourable to Oilers who he coached (RNH for example gets really favourable treatment).

The other night he talked about how he wished his sons to turn into the person RNH was. It's a LITTLE much.

Oh man that's bad. I'm sure RNH is a nice guy and all but I'm not sure that's the type of thing you say on a playoff discussion panel.

That slash on Drai broke his stick. When Mcdavid goes you can see AP’s stick is in pieces

No it doesn’t. On the video of the slash you can clearly see him skate away with it and it’s perfectly intact and solid. He bounces it on the ice a couple times, in fact. It broke when McDavid came at him and ran into it.

Agreed. Swap Foegle and Nurse and there is no instigator because they were already engaged in the corner.

McDavid should have received an instigator for going at Pietrangelo, happens all the time in the regular season.

But that’s the way it goes sometimes. Putting the puck over the glass in your own zone is a two minute penalty, just as taking seven strides and cross checking a guy in the throat after the horn is as well.

I was explaining exactly this to people saying this sucks for Vegas. AP leads all Vegas D-men with just over 18 mins ES ice per game in playoffs. Whitecould ranks 6th just under 17 mins.

Vegas plays all 6 Dmen fairly even at ES.

Theodore will get extra PP time

PK hurts a bit but they aren't stopping the Oilers more time than not on the PK with AP. Hague likely can step in and do a OK job on the PK

Nurse gets 19 mins per game. But the drop off after Ceci at 4th is quite a bit. Oil do play 7 d so it's hard to say if the dress 6 what the minutes would be but I fully expect Woodcroft to slide Kulak up with Ceci and not touch Ekholm and Bouchard. In Vegas, how much will/can he trust Broberg and Desharnais? If the mess up early, how much can you trust Kulak on your shut down pairing and likely close to double his regular minutes.

AP is better than Nurse but Vegas is much more equipped to spread out AP's minutes.

I really, really hope that Vegas can pull this out tonight. Given the way the rest of the playoffs are going and the fact Edmonton wouldn't have to go through the Avs this time, this might be the biggest hurdle they have to face. Carolina is obviously really good, but with no Svechnikov it's tougher.

The Oilers must lose.

Oh man, I just realized the series is tied. I thought the last win put the Oilers up based on all the cocky comments from up North, lol.

I think the Oilers move on to the conference finals tonight.

Which is great news for Vegas.
