I would hope any team that was upset they didn't get him are now thanking their lucky stars but this the NHL and some loser gm will make a "splash" signing him to a terrible deal.

Yep, he's an ok complimentary piece, but someone will pay him as a franchise player.

Well his Qualifying offer is 10M so if the Devils or anyone else pays that (if hes traded) its an overpayment.
Anything over 8.5 is an overpayment. Thats probably even generous..

Too bad that's over. It was some great hockey in this game. Both teams have a lot of skill. Carolina could be on a cup run.
If Florida, Vegas, and Seattle join them in the conference finals, every conference finalist will be a team that didn't exist the last time the Flames won it all.

The Devils should be proud of the season they had. Nobody had them in the playoffs this year let alone winning a playoff round. They're just gonna get better down the road

I'm so bummed. Jersey was a lot of fun to watch and I think a series between NJ and Florida would have been amazing.
Their window is just opening though.
