No, nothing anywhere that I’m aware of.

"If I go in and die, that's on me". These people just don't understand how selfish their actions are. Ya, it is the same as covid. You put other people's lives at risk then, but you just don't care.

The amount of radicalized, screaming, entitled adult babies that think they are above public emergency orders is truly something to behold.

2023 is wild.

We saw this locally a lot with the floods. Folks would insisting on being left alone until it was very, very late, then call for help and demand assistance.

Yes, emergency officials were being verbally assaulted by residents demanding to be allowed to return to their homes.

But they do have a valid point. There’s aircraft in the air and they have the resources to show the fires advancement or receding. They could easily post these as a way to show the evacuees what’s happening. I’m sure they all left under the assumption of total loss being possibly if not likely

Is that a useful focus of resources? Still photos are obsolete pretty fast in this situation.

There are also some complex group heuristics that would likely play out:
1. Duane gets lots of quality photos and info and can make a reasonable and rational decision that he could go back for a few hours.
2. Darryl only has 1 useful photo to work with and it doesn't give him nearly enough info...but #### it, if Duane can go back, so can I.
3. Ron has tons of quality photos and information that should tell him it would be very dangerous.....but #### it, if Duane can go back, so can I.

They have a valid point about seeing photos, but not about breaking through road blocks.

I was a bit surprised when I went into that thread and discovered Jeff Beradelli is from Florida. I do not have an appreciation for a "4-5 sigma upper high (>591dam at 500mb!)", but it must be something when the weather man from Tampa is all over it!

I’m not sure a couple days in the high 20s is on par with 2021?

It’s not good for the fire situation obviously. But seems extra dramatic.

Presumably because it is a month earlier.
