I think he's filling in for Jared McCann while he's injured. They said on last night's broadcast that Seattle is hopeful to get McCann back before that series is over.
Although, if that does happen, Kartye will probably be eating popcorn instead of being sent back to the AHL.

There are millions of reasons why that won't occur. And they are all dollars.
Fans of teams still in the playoffs aren't bored. And you can chose not to watch them of course.

I liked when the first round was five games including 4 games in 5 nights.
Very few fans watch the NHL playoffs once your team is eliminated as it just goes on too long. Hockey is a winter sport, not a summer one.

I agree, but I think we may see a bit of a drop off from the last round unfortunately. A lot of the tickets from the previous round were part of the season ticket packages (it included the first 2 games of the playoffs)
They need to get a bit more aggressive with their advertising I think. Also the scheduling doesnt help with the 2 games in this round at home being on back to back nights.

Yup, first two games of round 2 were included in the package for season ticket holders. We start paying now for this round going forward.

He was a healthy scratch early in the series versus Abbotsford. He was swapped for Rubins during the road games.
