I didn't think Edmonton was that bad in game 1. I chalk it up to the extra days hanging out in LA on the beach. They took themselves out of the playoff mindset and it showed in the first period but they started firing later in the game.

I think starting the game with 2 powerplays 2 minutes into the game. That's the difference, vegas didn't even have time to gain any momentum and then it's 2-0. 2 penalties can be the difference in a game in the playoffs. Especially a team with 2 generational talents on the ice

How does Vegas not take out one of the wonder twins? Finish one with something dirty, and it’s all over. With both of them on the ice, you’re eventually going to get lit, but eliminate one, and the Oilers have no answers.

Also, 3 PPs in one period of a playoff game is embarrassing. Talk about series management. (not including the 4th one here, as that is self inflicted by Vegas)
