We're soft only because you're basically well done/pemmican due to the dry heat you've exposed yourself to.

It was still worth it. I used Furnace Family. They were good. No idea if they're the best or whatever since I've only done this once, but it was good. They do have a lot of good reviews in general.

Looks like I made a mistake here, looked at the wrong part of the invoice. My AC all in was 5200.

Damn, turning into one of those "rainy" weekends that is more overcast than rain. So you get the worst of both worlds in terms of needed rainfall for spring.

Today as well. And I feel like it's windy everyday, which is not helping.

A big rain and hail storm just passed through the Edmonton region heading west. Let’s hope it makes its way to the fires west and southwest.

It hailed here (Southwood) for about 12-15 mins straight. Pea sized and under though.

Well generally storms don't move east to west in alberta, but if they formed west of Edmonton then there's a good chance they hit the fires en route to the city.
I hope most places got a good soaking. We need it before temps rebound in 2 days.

Key word. There's been some really weird circulation patterns over the past week, and it's been coming from the SE.

You need to set the "from" time further back to see the effect. If you look at the long version of the radar you can see it moving a little bit east to west.

Good day at the home office... streets got cleaned followed by some rain... then some hail... then some more rain (with thunder). That'll set up the garden/lawn to grow nicely, plus all the roads have been washed down from the dust. So the weather cooperated nicely here.
Hope the fire and high-risk areas get some serious moisture to stifle flames and soak into ground/trees. At this rate the backcountry hiking/camping/biking/activites will be shut down fairly soon all over the province.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but high risk areas are not likely to get any relief. There’s a heat dome warning and dry, hot temps expected for at least a week.
