Need to find fast and gritty players to play with Huberdeau. He has great vision and can find players anywhere if he has space, so you need guys creating distractions and making space for him. He just doesn't do jack work, or at least not well, so they need players to do that for him. He doesn't dig for pucks, he loses board battles, and he tosses the puck away to nowhere when things get too difficult for him.

He might rebound, but they need to find the right recipe. He is a high maintenance player. Need exactly the right kind of coach and very specific kinds of line mates for him.

Really wish Huberdeau went to play for team Canada to see his usage and who he could develop some fast chemistry with. Too bad.

Steinberg suggesting Muller and Huska will be in the conversation, they better not be! Don't F this up Calgary, the change needs to be complete in regards to coaching staff.

If I were him, I would have looked at it as an opportunity to get my groove back. But who knows, he could be banged up. Or just exhausted.

Probably afraid they'd stick him with Lucic

Wondering what the coach-review app says about Bill Peters. At the time of the incident before Bill was fired, all the players publicly defended Peters. I remember Giordano publicly saying Peters was a great coach, and never saw any of the controversial things he was accused of.

Rick Bell writes like he’s on a sugar rush while banging out tweets in some kind of strange stream of consciousness

Swear to God, if you took a shot every time Rick Bell asked the province’s chief medical officer about booze during a pandemic, you’d almost be as wasted as Rick Bell is right now.

I'm hoping for Love. The guy knows the players well. Clearly gets a team firing on all cylinders and won't be afraid to bring up the Wolf and Phillips into the fold next year.

This must be some new sort of journalism that I'm starting to see on the internet as there's a Raiders beat writer that does the exact same thing. Reads like a bunch of bullet points.

It's certainly not new in Bell's case. He's been writing like that for decades.

Nothing for Peters. Some other recent Flames coaches though:

-Gulutzan has a 7.9/10 coach score but no written reviews
-Hartley has a 4.4/10 coach score and no written reviews (oof)
-Ward has a 9.5/10 coach score and no written reviews

Probably because it was a isolated incident but it also came out that he hit players which Brind'Amour confirmed and said they reported.

Bill is a tough one in his opening presser someone asked him why he focuses on positives and he said you can be demanding without being demeaning. I think that's why Sutter failed as a coach ultimately.

Being demanding is one thing but the over the top stuff makes it tough to stomach.

I guess my gut through the Friedman and Seravelli comments is that there are 1-3 (maybe one) players that sort of quit on the team because of Sutter, and some of the other players are concerned with Sutter gone that said player(s) have the fortitude going forward.

Pure speculation, but it would seem Kadri would be on that list no? We heard about rumblings, and then we saw him essentially quitting.

The snowflake stuff is over the top and silly, but there isn't a clean sweep of problems with Sutter gone.
