Yeah. Decent performance for a rookie goalie, but in a typical year, I don't think he makes it in the top three.

Stats wise he certainly doesn't stand out. In fact he's below average in GAA and SV%.

I'm disappointed that Matias Maccelli didn't make it over Skinner. I feel like we'll look back at this year in a decade and collectively wonder how that Oiler goalie was ever nominated.

Most recent goalie “finalist” was Alex Nedeljkovic in 2020/21. Was 15-5-3 with a .932 and 1.90 GAA.
Finished third behind Kaprizov and Jason Robertson. Shesterkin was 5th.
