What's a reasonable bedroom temperature to turn on the house AC? 30? 35? I just got it June last year so I don't know what's socially acceptable.

What do you mean? Like, would you let your bedroom get up to 30 before turning on the ac? Mine is running right now. I flicked it on a couple days ago and I have the house at 21.

Geez and I was about to feel bad about saying 23C.
30-35C ain't a room no more. That's a dry sauna.

Yeah, I wouldn't do 21 in the middle of summer because I think it'd be too hard on my ac unit, so I usually do 22 as the lowest during the day. Once the sun goes down sometimes I'll go lower to 21. This time of year isn't too tough on it, though, so 21 is a nice treat.

Sorry was trying to joke about turning my AC on too early in the year.
I haven't taken the cover off of mine yet, but maybe I'll do that now going to be even hotter tomorrow.

House was getting bit muggy today so took the cover off and started it up. 22 in the day, 19 at night.

Just turned on our brand new unit (never had AC in my life) last night. Set it to 20 and it worked real well, but the wife set it to 16(!) and I told her that's way too cold. Glad to see 20-23 seems to be the norm.

There’s an irony to running A/C because it’s too warm when it’s like 20-something outside isn’t there?

Setting it that low is just asking for problems.

She didn't know the correct temp to set it at, and she's so very pregnant so honestly I get it but yeah, I set it to 20 afterwards.

16C sounds perfect. Please don't tell her I suggested otherwise, I don't need that kind of hatred raining down on me.

My master bedroom was actually at 30 degrees before I started up the AC last night. South facing back yard with a walkout so 3 levels of big windows and somehow the design funnels all the hot air into the master bedroom. First year of AC was glorious last summer and looks like it'll get lots of use this year again. Very happy I got it.
EDIT: That said it was really nice to be outside yesterday.
