I'm sorry. I didn't know it was a sensitive subject for you. Remember, you are beautiful no matter what anyone says. You are loved.

I will say, I hope you don't just actively cling on to hatred of people. Got to learn to let that #### die. Uncaring/ total ignorance of an individual is far more soothing for you and potentially far more damaging to them than actively hating.
Onto the meat of the matter, it is always extremely annoying to be confronted with people you thought you'd escaped from in settings where you can't escape their bull####, like work. This is the main thrust of the "don't #### where you eat" paradigm, but of course it can happen inadvertently anyways. I frequently run into people from university days in every day life and it can be quite irritating.

I think it's healthy to have one arch-nemesis for life. I'll see you in hell, Steven!

This one is a doozy because she used to be my moms boss and was a raging #### t her. constantly made her cry. There are only one or two people who haven't played for the Oilers that I hate.

It also doesn’t mean you spend even a second thinking about that person when they are out of sight.

FedEx - lie about trying to deliver my package when they made no attempt. “Incorrect address” no your lazy delivery driver didn’t want to get out his truck and go into an apartment building. Lie lie lie.

I think I've found the worst customer service in the world. It's not telus or Rogers or any airline, surprisingly... it's Uber. They have a support chat where various agents get on and ask the same things despite me already answering them, they do not read the chat history, they just inanely ask for screenshots of things that are irrelevant to my problem.

My mother and her refusal to honor boundaries RGMG. I went full no contact with her in 2011, for very good reasons (somewhat listed toward the end of the Theoren Fleury thread). She tried contacting us in December, 2 years ago (sent a letter) - she'd decided that 10 years was long enough and we should come for Christmas and "just move on, because life is short and the pandemic has shown us that." Um, no? That's not for you to decide?
She sent a card yesterday. I just wrote on the back, and put return to sender on the front. My mother is a narcissist, very very VERY tied to appearances because she was a pastor's wife for a long time and because it kept her in the perpetual poor sad mom whose kid won't talk to her space, with all she's done for her blah blah space - and she can't lose that identity, because it would remove the blinders from people's eyes, as to who she really is. So, I wrote that she'd been requested to refrain from contact, to stop sending things and making attempts at contact and reiterated it with a "stop effing sending sh1t" at the end. Embarrassment/shame has pretty much been the only thing that's worked with her in the past and only used as a last resort. She "can't abide profanity" because Jesus so the fact that the post office staff will see that, that it will be gossiped about in her small town, that new(ish) hubby will see it, will not best please her. Not only that, it will sit in her mailbox for days, as I've just found out she and hubby are away for the next week.
I have 3 brothers. 2 moved to different provinces (one all the way to the east coast) to get away from her and make visits a major difficulty. I have zero contact and the other brother doesn't consider what they have a relationship but merely an acquaintanceship type thing - I think it's pretty obvious that the abuse was enough to cause major fractures with all her children.
I just need her to stop.

I dunno though, I'm not going to pretend to know anything about you or her or your situation, but ten years is a long time and people can change -- especially in their older years I've heard many stories of mothers / fathers re-building fractured relationships with their children when starting to face their own mortality. She may be reaching out from a place of genuine compassion.

If so it's a really bad chat bot, the grammar is terrible. Maybe chatgpt has given me inaccurate impressions about the competence of AI.

I hate that no barbers in my area take appointments and I have to budget 1.5 hours to get a 20 minute haircut.

Really an unfortunate situation. I hope that you are able to make peace with your mother someday. But that of course is just an opinion from someone who has very little knowledge of what you experienced.
I guess, look out for yourself and your family first, maybe one day thing will change, maybe not. Your choice.
Hope you are able to post more “what makes me happy” things in the future…. I enjoy those posts.

I think Google might have them beat. My wife was supposed to get a warranty replacement phone and send in her old one when the new one arrived. Then they never shipped the replacement phone (their own website had the status at "shipping label created") but charged her. Like you went through various agents asking the same questions, clearly not reading any of the previous discussions, contradicting each other, outright lying in some cases, and at the end each one said they were "escalating" the issue. It was escalated so many times after ~4 months that she must have been dealing with their CEO.
