Go Panthers! But I expect the Leafs to win.

.900 in the playoffs so I don't know about that. He looked pretty good in the final game against Tampa and anyone can get hot but Florida was able to solve him last year too even though they played worse.

And Bob is .891 and .901 on the season
Like I said who knows for the series but the Leafs statistically have the edge in goal going in people shouldn't be surprised they are getting the nod in pre series rankings

Florida made two better goaltenders look less than average.
Regular season doesn’t mean anything. It’s playoff time.

Sure I mean I just don't think he is world beater, neither guys numbers are great in the playoffs. Boston also had a advantage statistically in net, way bigger actually and has a better defense than Toronto and it didn't mean much. So I don't know if these stats are that relevant at this point.

Ullmark was playing banged up in game 6 wasn't he? And I don't know why people think so highly of Jeremy "play inside my net and wonder why I can't cut off the angle" Swayman...

Ha, don't know why I started doing that all of a sudden. Thanks for pointing it out.

Ulmark was inured and his mobility was impacted.
Bergeron had a herniated disc.
A lot went right for the Panthers as well. The Leafs look healthy.
Panthers in 4.

Uh, Toronto just beat a pretty good goalie too
You guys can say stats are irrelevant but how else would we make pre series predictions? You can't just say it's a wash because that is what you want. One guy has been better this year, it's more likely that continues than not.

8/10 of the top goalies during the regular season, including all 5 of the top 5, are now out of the playoffs.
Of those top 10 regular season goaltenders, there were only 5 guys who currently sit outside the top 10 goaltenders to play a game in the playoffs and Samsonov is one of them.
You’re free to make whatever series prediction you want and Toronto might do just fine. But nothing about the season matters once the puck drops in game one. Let’s not pretend otherwise “because that is what you want.”

okay I will tell the oddsmakers all the series are EVEN because nothing in the past matters lol
there are obviously favorites, they don't always win but more often than not they do

What stats are you using? Top 10 regular season goalie? I have no idea what that means.
Sammy has the 6th best GAA and 7th best SV% compared to all goalies that have played at least 20 games. So what is the stat you're basing Top 10 goalies. I'm curious.

My confusion is your talking regular season SV% numbers and unless you are including players like Matthew Berlin and Wolf and Jet Greaves who played one or two games Samsonov is Top 10. Actually using minimum 20 games played as the cutoff point he's tied for 6th best with a .919 SV%.
So my confusion comes from the fact you are pulling stats out of your butt.

I said he was top 10, I said 8/10 of the top ten (who all happened to be in the playoffs) were now out of the playoffs, including every one of the top five. That leaves Samsonov as one of the two remaining from the top ten. The point being, of course, is that being the better regular season goalie hasn’t mattered in the playoffs.
Your confusion comes from you being unable to read

Ahh OK yeah I misunderstood this travesty of a sentence "Of those top 10 regular season goaltenders, there were only 5 guys who currently sit outside the top 10 goaltenders to play a game in the playoffs and Samsonov is one of them."
