Kirk is my spirit animal.
He's my favourite player by far.

Merrifield has injected the type of veteran presence they needed. He's a guy that is focused on execution on every player, every AB, every swing.
The team has a more serious feel this year. Badly needed. I liked Teo, Gurriel, etc, but at times there was too much joking around in the dugout.

Whit has leaned into being a slap hitter. There isn’t much authority on his hits or anything but he’s getting contact and using his superior speed well to get on base and do damage on the base paths. Add in his positive value on defence and he’s a solid all around player for the Jays. You’d like more oomph on his hits but he’s just not hitting flyballs which have the lowest batting average so it works.

Counterpoint: I haven't seen a single pitch over the last 5 days, but will be watching today. I apologize in advance.

Maybe you've heard of his brothers Rawlings McGee and Louisville McGee.

Jays facing a new pitcher is always hilarious. Every ####ing time, they just burn through the order twice at warp speed and then the pitcher either gets pulled or they blow him up the third time through.

Four pitch inning from the top of the order. Way to make him work hard.

The Blue Jays seem to play rookie pitchers like the Flames play rookie goalies. They make them look like All-Stars.

If Biggio had a different last name he wouldn’t be on a MLB roster

Holy hell, I'm sure glad I do not have to watch Teoscar constantly strike out on my team anymore. 6 of last 7 at bats were strikeouts? yikes.
