I was mainly referencing the Heat, but you're right about the Lakers

Was curious to look into the starting series odds after these posts. Knicks, Heat and Lakers are all upsets by starting odds and seeding. If Warriors win we'd get four upsets by seeding standards and if Kings win we'd have four upsets by the odds. Either way a very competitive first round by NBA standards.

Embiid doubtful for game 1, could potentially be a very bad injury. Sixers might be screwed

The west is strange 2-8 all looked to be even teams.

I would say the Lakers winning is not a upset they have 2 of the top 5 players in the game when they are on. That move to reshape the team it fits so well.

With the Sun's looking so disjointed I would say the Lakers are the best team in the west.

Embiid, KD, Kyrie, or Zion. Who's the softest player in the league?

Haha tough one, KD is a sniper on the court but still the softest decision ever. Kyrie is a nut job and Embiid has yet to battle through adversity in a series. Zion I actually feel bad for, his athleticism on his frame never made any sense. Always going to be hard for him to stay healthy.

I will go Kyrie though. Pseudo-intellectual conspiracy anti-vaxxer who would would rather promote holocaust denial documentaries than play for the Nets.

Steph really is special man. First 50 point game 7 performance in NBA history. Lakers/Warriors should be an interesting series

Kings warriors was a classic.

Lebron meets the warriors again.

The NBA playoffs have been great.

Jordan Poole might be the most frustrating role player in all of sports right now. Kerr needs to bench him, even if he's knocking down shots. Just makes the worst decisions every possession, and doesn't have the compete level to help his team at the other end of the court

Lakers - Warriors has the feel of the best series since Heat - Spurs

Bucks fire Budenholzer

I’d hire Nurse if I were them. Seems like him and Giannis would be a match made in heaven

Mike Budenholzer fired by the Bucks.

Could we see a coach swap?

Not sure what I feel about guys who were freshly fired. It's almost like a breakup. Sometimes it takes some time to take a deep breath and get over it. When guys just get hired right away I just have a belief they don't have mentally time to clean slate. I don't know Budenholzer's x's and o's, but he seemed to make good use of his bench players at times.

He was the finalist with Nurse when Casey was fired. Wouldn't be shocking to see him hired.

Yeah, agreed, Milwaukee should be pursuing Nurse aggressively. Unless there's some not-public reason why teams might want to avoid Nurse, or Nurse plain doesn't want to go to Milwaukee, I'd be surprised if it doesn't happen.

Which would amuse me, because Bucks fans were calling Nurse a terrorist after he left in the starters to mount that 21 point, final 3 minutes comeback earlier this year. Bucks fans were bitter about that all season even though they won the game.

As far as the Raptors search goes, I don't see Budenholzer as a fit. He's had 3-point heavy teams in both his previous jobs... Atlanta's shooting was off the charts when he was there, and with the Bucks he could surround an all-time-great interior player with shooters. I'm not sure he's got the adaptability to make something of Toronto's weird roster, and he hasn't done a great job with player development.

Lakers blowing out the Warriors. Looks like the dynasty is over and LeBron is back in the hunt for another ring.

That series is so weird since the teams play such different styles. It’s mostly about if the Lakers can shoot well since if they can then it’s really hard for the Warriors to match them since they lose in the paint and such.

I’ve heard the Dynasty was over many times!

This is going 7 guaranteed (bet with the refs)

It's just 1 game the Warriors had a bad game 6 and rolled the King's in game 7.

Someone mentioned Poole as the most frustrating roles player I would say AD is the most frustrating player overall.

One game he looks like a 10 time MVP next game he looks like Ben Wallace.
