4G, 5A in 5 1/3 games. We just need him to stay disappeared for two more games, am I right?

Too bad nobody wanted to follow his lead here. Disappointing.

I said it when he was with the flames - he’s not a franchise player you can generally rely on to carry your team. This year he was incredible and an exception. But as a secondary option in a team he’s perfect behind Barkov. The Flames erred not getting youth for him the year he sulked.

Tkachuk's biggest strength is he's always in the right spot.
You've seen that a lot these last two games, nothing he's doing is overly fancy but he's in the right position to take advantage of the other teams mistakes.

Tkachuk is a franchise player and it’s a shame Treveling didn’t give him an eight year contract early rather than spend more money on marginal FA players. That’s the shame with Brad always went all in on the current year knowing he could pay young players less and sneak in a FA. But he never chose the right FA and he lost those young players when they hit FA. I liked Brad but glad he’s gone. Small market teams need to overpay for that young talent before they hit FA otherwise they’ll leave.

Barkov is made of glass or maybe just enjoys days off at the beach, Chucky is now the heart of that team and it’s not even close

His IQ is by far the best aspect of his game. He makes up for his lack of speed with his brain

Nickle and diming your star players for a million here and then losing them so they have to overpay for FA is really stupid. I’d much rather have a nine million dollar Tkachuk now rather than the money they spent for guys like Coleman and Neal.

He’s injured a good chunk but I bet most gm’s would take Barkov over Tkachuk even after the year he just had.
