Baby Kraken took the opposite decision. They play first 2 on the road and then last 3 at home.

Kind of weird decision by Wranglers as the last 3 games of the season were in Abbotsford and they managed to win the last one only.

It's stupid by the AHL and cheapens the whole thing IMO.

No reason for travel between Abbotsford and Calgary to not be able to support a 2-2-1 format.

Also I think that's the right choice then...going down 2-0 with the last three at home wouldn't be a great outcome.

I can't wait to have Lucic off the team but I have to admit that's pretty cool and good for him to keep in shape to try and have one last kick at the can somewhere else..

Just shows his love of the Game ...Mitch Love must enjoy this as the play offs are about to begin and a guy thats won it all is hanging around showing these guys his love for the game. Impressed by this ...being apart of the community and organization is really cool.
Maybe Lucic should take on a role like McGratton had.

All in all cool story.

Personally I think the Kraken made the right decision given the choice. Just ridiculous the Wranglers are forced to win a road game even though they earned home ice advantage. Being down 0-2 wouldn't be great obviously but you get to play relaxed the first two games. All the pressure on Abbotsford who would have to win both games.

Now it's the reverse.

Good piece on the Wranglers' Clark Bishop.

Also: Milan Lucic is practicing with the team!

Lucic is hoping to be invited to play for Team Canada in the World Championship. Guess that's one of the things on his career bucket list.

Does the AHL start on time, or do the start at 7:23PM like the NHL? I’m going tomorrow.

Yes, it starts on time. Usually 7:03 and maybe closer to 7:00 with just one anthem.

Game 1 tonight.

As promised, here's my preview article, which turned into a bit of an opus while I was writing it. If you have any additional questions that I didn't answer, ask 'em in the thread!

Agreed. Although I do find it weird that the Kraken were involved in the decision making at all.
