LOLWAT?!
CRA workers do not make an average of $140K per year. That's laughably inaccurate. Not saying that's not what you found on a cursory google search, but a quick search will lead you to a copy of the agreement between PSAC-UTE and the CRA.
Go to Appendix "A" and it'll tell you all the pay ranges. The absolute bottom at the lowest entry-level range is $41,658, while the tippy-top of the managerial scale earns $132,427.

If you're going to throw numbers around, you should probably apply some critical thinking to what sources you're getting your information from. If you take a step back, does it really seem plausible that the average employee at the CRA is making $140K? Like, seriously?
If you look at their actual salary grids, the highest union salary you can get (Manager Level 6 at the highest pay increment) is $130K. Most other management pay levels max out at $90-100K, and most non-management ones top out at $60-85K.

I realize this is your Super Bowl, but I have no idea what you’re talking about. And sure, everyone reveres you.

Well sure, I didn’t see the grid to read, but pile on. As I said in that post, I googled it and that was the figure that came up.

C'mon man, you're not even reading your own sources!

Yeah, I definitely didn’t read the link all that carefully, and found the second link after. I was just looking for a quick answer to the question.

Here you go with the assumptions again.
Until you mentioned it I had no idea that I was revered by everyone. Frankly in a number of cases I would have assumed(there’s that word again ) the opposite because some posters inexplicably seem to try their best to come off as disrespectful #######s when they comment on the things that I post. Seems like an odd way to approach someone that they allegedly revere.

You’re forgetting that both public and private sector workers have the ability to work from home GGG, but regardless my post had absolutely nothing to do with WFH.
While I’m sure that the handful of posters who would rather lay on a bed of hot coals than admit that there’s even an ounce of legitimacy to anything I say appreciate your efforts here, you know as well as I do what the main reason is for the disparity between in overall wages, benefits and job security between the private and public sectors. It’s the same reason why private sector employees on average do better than their private sector counterparts where that reason is absent.
|
I’m pretty sure you brought up work from home as a sticking point for unions. Not sure how that’s a deflextion to discuss how the government should approach WFH as a benefit.
