I can't vote for any of these people since I have no idea what any of them would do.

The guys on After Burner also mentioned that hiring someone who has been with the organization for a long time has positives and negatives. On the positive side, he is a guy that know how things work within the organization and would know how to navigate within in it. On the other hand, it might take someone from outside the organization to tell the owners that they need pivot from the current direction or just to bring in fresh objective perspectives.
I would still like to see Conroy get a chance though, but I also hope they due their due diligence and look at all options of course.

I want Conroy purely because of his age. I really want someone younger who can hopefully steer the franchise for a long time.

Conroy and Treliving are two years apart.

Maloney said he wanted a young GM. Unsure what constitutes young in his eyes. Conroy is 51.

Look, I think it's really important that our next GM be 51 years old at the time of hiring.

I voted Conroy, but I'd be fine with Lombardi

I'm assuming you would want Lombardi due to the Sutter connection, if so booooooooo, if you haven't heard Sutter needs to attend to a farm not a hockey team.

By trading Iginla when signs were that the Iggy era was done, which he was brought in to do

Conroy also has a Sutter connection. Or two. Or three. Or four.

I voted Conroy, and would be okay with him and Pascal working together in associate roles, but would be okay with Tulsky or Futa coming in as an outsider with new ideas. The most important thing that can happen IMO is to build the team toward the style that is likely to be successful long-term, and that isn't what this roster looks like right now.

Chris O’Hearn is a guy i believe will get heavy consideration.
He has ties to both Maloney and the Flames through past gigs, and has watched what Guerin did to steer the Wild through some really tough decisions because of some anchor contracts.
Law background, young, and been in hockey ops at every level imaginable since his dad was with the original Jets franchise.

Not getting Iginla to contractually agree with waiving his NTC to specific teams (allowing Iginla to change last minute) and trading Jay Bouwmeester for nothing when he still had a year left. Attaching Kotalik to the Regehr trade and getting absolutely no value in hm. Paul Byron has etched out a nice career for himself but Righter was still a top two defender who was traded for more value two years later at the deadline for Buffalo.
Three major pieces Feaster shipped out and go nothing in return.
I'll give him credit for trying to move up and get MacKinnon in the 2013 draft but it didn't materialize.

Iginla didn't change last minute it was Feaster who leaked the Boston trade to get Pittsburgh to up the offer.
Aaron Ward makes it seem like he was lied too.

I have heard from a few sources that Tulsky will be named Penguins GM once the Canes season comes to an end.

Chris Snow.
Because he knows a thing or two about battling the odds.

I would give it to Conroy. But I would also ensure I have Maloney in the POHO role 👌🏻 and a few assistant GMs. Like Chris snow if he’s healthy enough. Bob Murray and Brad Pascal if they are willing to fit into that structure.
