NHL needs to tighten up these rules. You can't have games decided by trivialities. You have guys playing their hearts out and some absurd technicality could wipe out everything that happens.

Great breakdown. Thanks for that. I really didn't think this was a thing but apparently it is.

The Oilers have had some very weak calls go against them in this series - there shouldn't be any argument against that. The calls against Desharnais and Draisaitl in this game alone were likely two of the worst calls of the playoffs so far and the penalty against Kostin was marginal at best especially when in overtime a very similar action was performed by Danault. I do think that some of the criticisms are fair. The problem is though that with the continual complaining to the officials (like the game one overtime) you will never get the benefit of the doubt.

At the end of the day though they can only control their own games and would have to do better 5 on 5 in order to get more goals.

Great series to watch though.
