Honestly everyone should complain and threaten to cancel.
The value/perks of being an STHer have gone done as well, the third and number of events, discounts and etc just doesn't make sense anymore. Even parking the resale value and product on the ice aside.
|
My STH rep msged me today saying I could wait to see the full value of perks and direction of the Team by mid August before deciding to cancel.
In addition, they told me an added perk this year is the "dynamic floor" pricing. Meaning we can sell tickets for less desirable games for less than cost.
Sad that they see that as a perk, allowing us to use the Flames platform to sell tickets at a loss...

That must be the party line, I got that same response when I asked about the cost of the Flames STH wranglers option for next year. It matters to me, because we enjoyed the Wranglers games at least as much as the Flames ones this year, but the resale on those tickets was very difficult.

The “dynamic floor” pricing was a complaint I made a few years ago when they were doing STH feedback calls. For less desirable games, the Flames, through Ticketmaster, were selling tickets at the same price or less than I could at a 20% loss. I guess their solution is to have STH sell their tickets at a greater loss. Fun.

Yes you can. You just look at them in the "PAID" section
mine this year went from $8560.60 up to $8980.20
I split my tickets and it's still becoming harder to justify spending this much. I also like to participate in the golf and poker charity events and their cost increases have pretty much priced me out. This is really the first time in 18 years I'm considering to let them go. And that sucks....

Nope. Under the PAID section all i have is a message stating "There are no paid invoices on your account. For assistance please contact us."
No boxes or 0.00 to click.
I wouldnt have made the comment without checking everywhere. This has been the same way for me for years and im not the only one judging by the comments.

Same thing on my side.
When I go into my "paid" portion, I see absolutely nothing.

Has any game pack holders gotten their renewal yet? I’m one but haven’t seen anything yet?

Well....I think I figured out why they were trying to convince everyone to hold off on canceling just a little while longer.
They're plan is for everyone to keep the seats now so we get first dibs on seats at the new arena (only 40% more than you were paying at the 'Dome!)

Guess I will be renewing till we get the new arena. I won't be able to afford the new arena price hike. Plus the press level food vouchers make it easy to attend "win or lose on the food"

so take what you pay now, add 5% every year and then another 20-25% when the arena opens.
Then I suppose any special ticket surcharges will be on top of that.

In the last deal, I think I recall if you had season tickets you would not be charged the ticket surcharges for the new arena. It was only added on single game tickets or events

It'll be more than that. The minimum increase for Edmonton's new arena was 25%.

While I am cancelling my season tickets, I have the option to keep a game pack to keep my seniority. Where are the game pack tickets usually located? Thanks in advance……

Yeah it’ll be 25-50% increase, but I bet it’ll still get support. The new arena will in fact be pretty sweet, I’m sure, and they’ll get a nice 2 year bump of support. If the team is still a directionless arrogant mess (it will be) then after that support will dwindle at sky high prices. But, at least the Flames won’t ever move then.

The Flames just dropped this:
Quote:
Yesterday, the City of Calgary, Province of Alberta, Calgary Sports & Entertainment Corporation, and the Calgary Stampede announced that they have come to an agreement in principle to proceed with a significant phase of the Culture + Entertainment District in downtown Calgary.
We are excited to be a part of this new phase, and look forward to contributing to the revitalization of the Rivers District of downtown Calgary, which will feature public amenities and public infrastructure, including a new community rink, all of which will be anchored by a new publicly-owned modern Event Centre.
I invite you to read about the details by visiting our website and reading our FAQ page.
As we move into the Summer and prepare for the 2023-24 NHL Regular Season, we know that there is a lot of work ahead of us. First and foremost is the completion of the analysis of the 2022-23 season and determining the best path forward, led by Don Maloney, President of Hockey Operations. This is a top priority for our organization, and we will share more with you soon.
Beyond that, we are looking forward to engaging with our valued Season Ticket Members in meaningful ways. We have heard your feedback, and are excited to share some details of what is to come through the Summer and into the Fall.
The Calgary Wranglers are playing in the 2023 Calder Cup Playoffs and the excitement and energy around the team is growing. Our first home game takes place at the Scotiabank Saddledome tonight, with our second game on Friday, April 28, and we look forward to seeing Flames prospects Dustin Wolf, Jacob Pelletier, Matthew Phillips, and many more in post-season action.
The Heritage Classic will take place at Commonwealth Stadium on October 29 this year where the Calgary Flames will face off against the Edmonton Oilers in a very special Battle of Alberta. As a Flames Season Ticket Member you will receive pre-sale access to this event in the coming weeks.
We know that engagement and connection to Flames management is important to you as a Season Ticket Member, and we are excited to announce that we are planning to host a 2023-24 Season Launch Event, exclusively for Season Ticket Members, prior to the beginning of the 2023-24 NHL Regular Season. This will be a new, refreshed way to connect with the Calgary Flames as we begin our journey for 2023-24, and we look forward to sharing more details with you about this Fall event.
As we consider the future we are excited about what is to come, both in the short-term and the long-term, and we know that none of it is possible without your support.
Thank you for being a Calgary Flames Season Ticket Member.

All I could think of was “did they really just reference Matthew Phillips as a Calgary Flames prospect?”
Clearly they’re hearing it from the fanbase this go ‘round. Genuinely intrigued to see how they handle this off-season - I’m not sure I’ve seen the fanbase as sour as it is right now.

Yeah, I guess that 12 minute audition told us everything we need to know. Horrible. They could have had Lucic eating popcorn all year and actually played these guys in the NHL so we could see what we have.
